After an Echo device and a gadget establish a connection over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Classic Bluetooth, they exchange data packets of one of two types, depending on the transport:
Although the packet format does not, in a general sense, specifically relate to the Bluetooth type, in the case of gadgets they correspond as described in this documentation.
