Find an Utterance Activity ID for an Alexa Skill

If you request Amazon's help to debug a problem with your Alexa skill, Amazon might request utterance activity IDs for specific voice interactions. Utterance activity IDs help Amazon pinpoint utterance problems, and provide you with more specific guidance. In these cases, Amazon recommends that you provide two to three activity IDs.

The following steps show how to find an utterance activity ID that corresponds to a voice interaction.

To find an utterance activity ID

  1. In your Amazon account, go to Review Voice History.
  2. Open your browser's web developer console by using the following steps:
    • Firefox:
      1. To the right of the address bar, click the menu icon (hamburger menu).
      2. Click More Tools.
      3. Click Web Developer Tools.
      4. Click the Console tab.
    • Google Chrome:
      1. To the right of the address bar, click the menu icon (hamburger menu).
      2. Click More Tools.
      3. Click Developer Tools.
      4. Click the Console tab.
  3. On the Review Voice History page, expand a voice interaction.
  4. On the Console tab, the utterance activity ID for that interaction is a long alphanumeric string.
