With 100 Million Amazon Fire TV sold globally, there has never been a better time to bring your content and apps to the big screen. On September 24th, Amazon announced the next-generation Fire TV Stick, the all-new Fire TV Stick Lite, and a redesigned Fire TV UI with improved content discovery and engagement features.

If you've ever wanted to create your very own Fire TV Application, but didn't know where to start, look no further: you can check out our latest video on the Fire App Builder project. Fire App Builder is an app template optimized for Amazon Fire TV.

In this video, we cover how you can download from a repository, customize, and run a Fire TV Application in just 5 minutes.

We've also released a follow-up video to walk you through the steps of integrating your own media feed into the app itself by utilizing the category and contents recipes. This process supports both JSON and XML feeds, as well as multi-feed media sources.

For more information on the Fire App Builder project and how it can be extended for additional features/integrations, check out our documentation page.
