Enum ItemScalingType : i8

sealed enum ItemScalingType : i8
Specifies how an item should be scaled in response to UI scale accessibility settings. This type allows scaling helper methods to apply appropriate scaling behaviors based on the item’s characteristics and purpose in the UI. For elements that don’t clearly fit into the specialized categories (text, image, etc.), use the following guidelines:
  • LOW_UPSCALE: For elements that are already prominent and easily visible. Best for large UI components in space-constrained layouts.
  • MEDIUM_UPSCALE: For standard UI elements that need moderate enlargement.
  • LARGE_UPSCALE: For smaller elements that need significant enlargement. Ideal for critical interactive elements that must remain easily targetable.
  • LOW_DOWNSCALE: For items like padding or whitespace that should be slightly reduced in size to make room for visual elements.
  • LARGE_DOWNSCALE: For items like padding or whitespace that should be greatly reduced in size to make room for visual elements.
  • TEXT: For font size and line height.
  • IMAGE: For images and icons. Note that large images may not always scale up.
