Interface IInteractiveComponentConfiguration

interface IInteractiveComponentConfiguration
Extends com.amazon.apmf.IStandard IInteractiveComponentConfiguration object stores a configuration for lifespan and timeout values. This object is provided by interactive component instances through a [IInteractiveComponentConfigurationBuilder].

Lifespan

Lifespan is used to determine the content relevance for a user. The lifespan of a component instance is associated with a default timeout tracking user inactivity configured in the OS after which the instance should be auto dismissed. OS timeout defaults can be overriden by providing custom values via the [IInteractiveComponentConfigurationBuilder]. There is no timeout associated with PERMANENT lifespan. Lifespan also controls how an instance should be handled during a backstack walk (i.e transitioning back from the current component instance in the foreground). The values in this interface are ordered in terms of their stickiness to the backstack. When a user triggers a go back, they will be brought back to an application component instance on the backstack that has a lifespan longer than or sometimes equal to that of the app that was last in the foreground. This behavior exists in order to avoid returning to an application component instance whose context may now be outdated or no longer relevant to the user. For example, when a transient component instance times out or completes, control can return to a short, long, or permanent component instance; control will never return to another transient component instance.

Timeout

The timeout for an interactive component instance is used to determine a period of inactivity from a user engagement point of view, after which the instance is backgrounded automatically.
