Data object MediaMetadata2

interface struct MediaMetadata2
Extends MediaMetadata Extends [MediaMetadata] with additional context requested by clients that surface a “Now Playing” experience.

Fields

collectionName

string? — Optional
A human-readable display name for the collection this media item is presented within, if any. This is the name a “Now Playing” UI renders to describe where the item sits, for example a playlist or mix name like “Liked Songs” or “Daily Mix 1”. It is item-scoped metadata: it travels with the media item and can be displayed even when there is no active playback session, the same way [MediaMetadata#album] can. Unlike [MediaMetadata#playbackSource] — a separate, more loosely specified context object — collectionName is an explicit, display-ready string intended to be rendered verbatim by clients. May be null when not applicable.
