Interface IVideoDecoderFeaturesCapabilities

interface IVideoDecoderFeaturesCapabilities
Extends com.amazon.apmf.IStandard Interface to get capabilities about the features supported by the video decoder.

Methods

isSecureDecodingSupported()

bool isSecureDecodingSupported()
Checks whether codec support secure playback. This does not means all the security levels defined by Widewine or Playready but only to check the abilities to handle the secure content from the codec. Refer to the DRM capabilities APIs to check which security levels are supported by the CDM

Returns

bool true if Secure Decoding supported.

isLowLatencySupported()

bool isLowLatencySupported()
Checks whether codec support low latency mode. In Low Latency mode, Decoder must return decoded frames as soon as possible based on the coding standard without waiting for further input and must stay awake. If turned off, the decoder can use power optimizations that may result in decoded frames being returned later than strictly necessary, and the decoder may power down when stalled.

Returns

bool true if Low Latency is supported.
